Charitable Gaming Centres – A look at how the money helps so many.
Since its formation in 1975, OLG has been committed to empowering communities across the province. One of our proudest achievements has been partnering with the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association to support Charitable Gaming Centres and all the local charities who receive their proceeds. That’s over 2,000 in all.
Big numbers that make a big difference.
Since 2005, OLG Charitable Gaming Centres have contributed more than $300 Million to their communities. These contributions are generated by the activities of all Charitable Gaming Centres across Ontario.
When you play, local charities win.
Whether you enjoy classic paper Bingo, easy to play Break Open Tickets, or the fun of TAP ‘N PLAY cabinets, your play sessions generate much-appreciated support for all kinds of worthy local initiatives. So when you hear us say “we play together, we win together,” we really mean it!

OLG’s Charitable Gaming initiatives have supported many different types of causes including:

- Humane Societies
- Medical Centres

For charities across Ontario, regardless of size or location, that means we make a real difference through our play—providing a source of funding for charities large and small that otherwise wouldn’t exist.
Turning big wins into good fortunes.
Here’s a story from just one small corner of Ontario. Fort Erie, to be exact. In and around this historic little town of just over 30,000, there are many who need clothing, food and the help of human service agencies. One charity in particular, COPE (Community Outreach Program-Erie), is there for them, providing essential goods and support for over 500 residents every month since 1983. That’s why it’s so important that the proceeds from our Charitable Gaming Centres are there for COPE, one of many charities staffed with caring locals who understand their community and how best to help.
Charity begins at home. That means the whole province.
Whether you live in a city or a small town, the fun that’s happening at your local bingo hall is doing a lot of good. OLG’s Charitable Gaming Centres and the myriad charities they support operate on the belief that a community is like a team. In order for all to flourish, everyone must be willing to care, to dream, to play and to celebrate together.
